From The Editor
Welcome! to the second issue of Dog Throat Journal. As with any new project, there’s been some ups and downs (such a server outage a couple of weeks ago), but overall things have been running smoothly, and I’m pleased by the quality of responses we’ve had to our calls for submissions.
Some of the authors in this issue are familiar to me; others are new to me. All bring a wonderful range of writing.
One of the things I aim for when assembling a collection of writing such as you’ll find here is a variety of expression. Some pieces lean toward whimsical; others more serious; some on the spooky side; others reflective, etc. Many thanks to everyone who answered our calls and whose work appears in these pages.
This time around, I’m pleased to say that we’ve got the art work of Ron Walker for the issue cover. Please do check out more of his paintings, as well as the works of fiction and prose poetry that we’ve got going here.
